My Own Darkness

I sit alone in my darkness, Unable to be understood, Forever have others forsaken me, Pulling down my hood. Too long have I now hid from the light, In my darkness alone I sit, Hoping that one would hear my plight. Opening the door to my cage, She may have saved my life.

I Don't KnowI can't find an answer I can't escape I can't find a way I'm trapped by my fate.
I don't want to be led And I don't care if I'm followed, But I know I must be led and lead If I am to go down my own path.
I feel numb to feelings I fell out of place I feel like I don't belong anywhere I feel alone.
All I need is myself And my hardened heart I live by my own rules And follow my own system.

I am starting to wonder if I'm ever going to have a gf before i graduate high school in 2 1\2 years. 17 years and not one gf, I wonder how much longer i'm going to be alone. With this past tragedy, hurrican katrina i mean, all my friends have had someone there for them, someone that's not just a friend, and when i look at myself, I have no one. 'sigh' is being alone the price i have to burden for my sins of my past.
